Funding Options

We provide services through NDIS (Self-Managed and Plan-Managed participants) and Medicare, including Chronic Disease Management plan and Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan. You are also welcome to use your Private Health Insurance extras if this applies to you.

Please note that a referral is not required to commence therapy, however, we welcome the below plans at any time.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides individualised funding support to children, young people, and adults, as early as possible to reduce the impacts of disability or developmental delay and to build their skills and independence.

The ECEI approach supports children aged under seven years who have a developmental delay or disability, and their families/carers.

For children and young people over 7 years, evidence of significant and/or permanent disability that impacts functioning is required.

We are currently able to see NDIS clients who Self-Manage or Plan-Manage their funds.

For information about the NDIS Early Intervention Scheme and funding eligibility, please refer to our flowchart here.

Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM).

The Chronic Disease Management plan (CDM) allows eligible clients to receive Medicare rebates for up to 5 Occupational Therapy sessions per calendar year. Clients are eligible if they have a chronic condition (defined as lasting 6 months or more) and would benefit from ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team.

The CDM is organised through your General Practitioner (GP). Children with learning difficulties, motor difficulties, and/or developmental delay are often eligible for a CDM.

Please discuss your child’s individual case with your GP.

Complex Neurodevelopmental Care Package.

The Complex Neurodevelopmental Care Package allows eligible clients to receive Medicare rebates for up to 4 assessment sessions with an eligible Allied Health practitioner, such as a Psychologist or suitably qualified Occupational Therapist.

Following assessments, eligible clients can receive Medicare rebates on up 20 sessions per lifetime (up to 10 sessions per treatment period) with a Treatment and Management Plan.

The Complex Neurodevelopmental Care Package is organised through your GP. Children undertaking, or who have undertaken, assessment in relation to a diagnosis of a complex neurodevelopmental disorder, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, are often eligible for the Complex Neurodevelopmental Care Package.

Please discuss your child’s individual case with your GP.

Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

The Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is part of the Australian government’s Better Access Initiative. Eligible persons may receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a Psychologist or suitably qualified Occupational Therapist or Social Worker. Rebates under this plan are only available for therapy sessions where the child is present.

The MHCP is organised through your GP and is appropriate for clients with a diagnosed mental health condition such as Depression, Anxiety and many more. Children with sensory processing differences can often access this plan too as sensory processing differences can be associated with anxiety, obsessive compulsive behaviours, challenges with anger management, sleep disturbances, trouble coping at school, and poor self-esteem.

Please discuss your child’s individual case with your GP.
